The company “UKRBAZALTIZOL” is a follower and receiver of the technologies of the Belichsky plant “Thermal and Sound Insulation – TZI”, as well as the Chernivtsi plant “TIM” trademark “Rotys”.In 1974, a scientific organization was organized in the USSR, to which technology and equipment owe a lot – the Basalt Fiber Laboratories.

The laboratories were engaged in scientific and practical work on basalt superfine and thin fibers and materials based on them. One of them was the development of BCF technology and equipment.

By 1985, the first industrial installation for the production of BCF was developed and built. Industrial production of basalt fiber began at the Teplozvukoizolyatsiya – TZI plant near Kiev in the village. Kotsyubinskoe, headed by A.A. Medvedev.

Over the course of several years, several more industrial installations were built with a capacity of 350 and 500 tons of BCF per year. All further development and construction of production facilities for basalt thread in Russia, Georgia, and China were carried out exclusively by Ukrainian specialists.
